Are you tired of paying for down-loadable programs or shelling out for 'bandwidth'? Are you aware that the vast majority of Pay FTP sites obtain their materials from either the Old Time Radio Researchers group, other Yahoo old time radio organizations, or from the various local clubs? It's true. At the most, only two generate new materials. Not only that, but they cut down their encodes to either 24 or 32 bitrate, even though they originally got them in a higher bitrate. The reason being - to cut down on their bandwidth cost, while charging or requiring a donation for you download them.

OTRR attempts to offer 64 bitrates, when available, but many of our offerings are at 32 as that may be the best encode we could find. We will always upgrade to 64 when possible.

All the old time radio programs you'll ever want or need can be found here. And all of them are offered for FREE! The Old Time Radio Researchers group is making its vast library to you for free download!

While we do urge you to support those dealers who offer superior sound encodings either in CDA format, cassette, or reel-to-reel, we have grave reservations about the majority of sites that require you to either purchase credits, bandwidth, or contribute (pay a fee) for download privileges.. We will be happy to list any dealer on this site who offers high-quality materials at a reasonable price.

WELCOME!!!

This OTRR Library has over 1060 different series, and over 61,000 individual episodes for you to download - all FREE of charge. All of our materials have been verified through OTTER, the hobby's premier Database Program. Most Pay FTP sites offer far fewer individual episodes, or if they do claim to have more, many of them are repeats, or duplicates, and in some cases, triplicates! The materials in the OTRR Library are also updated on a regular basis, with new series, new episodes, or better encodes.

What's the catch, you ask? Really, there is none. While this Library is primarily for the members of the Old Time Radio Researchers organization, anyone may download from here for FREE.

To protect the interigity of our holdings, they are all in password protected directories. This is to give us some control over the site and prevent the leeching of entire directories by people with less than honorable intentions. So all users will have to register with us, by filling out a form with name, address, and phone number on it, so that we might have some small control over the site, and be able to indentify library abusers, or those who disregard the rules.

If you are already a member of any of the Old Time Radio Researchers groups, and can do so, we urge you to download these files from our safe and secure P2P hub. That way more bandwith is made available for those not enjoying club member privileges. We know, of course, that many of you are not able to log on to the P2P hub, so please feel free to use this library!

Additionally, the number of downloads is limited by our server to 50 people at a time. For that reason we ask that you limit your requests per visit. You may also want to spread your requests out over several days. That way more people can have access. If a card holder is found to be 'leeching', or downloading for more than an hour at a time, he or she will have their privileges revoked.

You may also wish to contribute series or episodes that you have in your collection, but not found here. We urge you to do so. After all, we don't have everything in existance, although we are trying to get them, and your help in getting them is much appreciated!
